During the first few nights of 2026, the 250th anniversary of the birth of the United States was celebrated at the National Mall in Washington, DC with projections of images and film cast upon the Washington Monument.
Despite ongoing controversial decisions made by the federal government and scandals among state governments, it is the belief of the History Killers publication that the 250th anniversary of the United States is something worth noting, indeed worth celebrating. American history is one made of struggle. It is also one made of triumph. We celebrate that history here with this brief video which captures some of the DC event from the beginning of January 2026.
Happy New Year to you, dear reader, and Happy 250th to the United States of America.
